Abstract

The data of the literature on the use of innovative technologies in the pharmacotherapy of different contingents of patients with the help of targeted nanotherapy on the basis of evidence-based medicine and evidence-based pharmacy are analyzed and systematized. The main directions of using nanotechnologies in pharmacy and medicine are indicated. There are 5 main areas of application of nanotechnology in medicine and pharmacy. It is suggested that the most promising in this area of pharmacotherapy are over-the-counter drugs and combined prescription drugs using the transdermal delivery method. The means of drug delivery (liposomes, bacteria; polymeric nanostructures (nanospheres, nanocapsules); dendrimers; carbon nanoparticles (nanotubes, fullerenes); compounds of silicon oxide, as well as various metals (gold, silver, platinum) have been systematized. The main stages of the search for innovative ways to create new drugs using targeted nanotherapy in pharmacy and medicine are outlined.
